Footprints on the web

After some posts on Google's bloggger site almost a decade ago, I decided it is time to start writing along with my explorations in learning Javascript and other web technologies.

The reason I chose Avimukta as the name is the origin behind the word. I first read this word in Vikram Sampath's book "Waiting for Shiva" and also probably in Meenakshi Jain's book "Vishwanath, Rises and Rises".

It is said Kashi was given the name Avimukta after Lord Shiva decided to not leave the city, to not forsake it. Hence the name.

On a similar note, I don't intend to forsake my thirst for learning, reading and making my life better, the world a better place.
